Pop Up Box with a difference!

Hello Crafters

Have you had a good weekend? I am a little late today posting as we had family round for dinner, and I think I bored them silly with all the healthy food talk, of which I am now an avid fan. Mind you I have also never eaten so much in my life!

Talking about healthy, it was Mr Kim’s birthday last week, so the theme for my little pop up was about veggies. So cute these little Lawn Fawn fellas!

Here you can see the box folded flat ready to send:

Then you release the box and up it pops!:

Although it looks like just a pop up box, it has a secret….the little name tags pull up to show another veggie underneath! It was my first veggie box but also my first slider too!

I used the Lawn Fawn Slider dies to make the holes. It was quite complex to get the slider in the right place, but it looks like the veggies are all ready to harvest. Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders was used as the strutts in between to connect the other veggies to and keep the box shape.

The box was made using Spellbinders scalloped pop up box and then covered in the paper.

I used blue fun foam cut with Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds for the backdrop. They were all stamped with Memento Inks, and the Misty tool was used, so I could stamp the images twice to get a real indepth colour to them. These are just so much fun, and there is no end to  what you can do with them.

Well I hope you had a super sunday with good company and fine food. Have a wonderful week.

Hugs

Kim x

  1. Can’t believe I missed this post. ABSOLUTE GENIUS! (capitals were deliberate!). Love the idea that the tags pull up another veggie, and it so colourful and fun. I kind of want to squeeze your cheeks and give you a high five at the same time! Tricky, I know…

    1. Thank you, just wish I had more time to make these, I love doing them but never enough time, oh well, only another 13 years till I retire….that is unless they put the age up again which I believe they are trying to, to 71!

      1. Oh heck, really? 71? No fair! I’d happily retire tomorrow if I could. As you say, there is just not enough time. It’s a shame because you make truly beautiful cards.

  2. WHAT A BRILLIANT BOX! This truly is the greatest box card I’ve seen Kim. It’s perfect in every way. You couldn’t get a better card for someone who liks to grow their own produce. Well done you amazingly clever woman!

Tell Mr. Kim belated birthday wishes. 27 again? 🙂

    1. EEek.. I forgot to confess…..

I’m REALLY sorry if you’ve been inundated with awards recently but .. I’ve nominated you for The Happines Tag – because you and your blog make me happy

You can read about it here; https://thecobweboriumemporium.wordpress.com/2016/09/26/happiness-the-greatest-gift/

There’s not really a lot to it. You just have to list 5 things which make you happy, then pass the award onto 5 blogs which make you happy to read them.
BUT .. if you don’t want to do this it’s totally OK. I’ll still love you to pieces.
